The gospel of Matthew presents Jesus the Messiah as the King of Israel. Since his intended audience was primarily Jewish, Matthew unfolds the story of Jesus’s life from birth to resurrection in order to emphasize how the Old Testament prophecies to the Jewish people have now been fulfilled in Jesus.
During Winter ’24-’25 we covered Matthew chapters 1-7 in the first segment of our series on the book of Matthew. In Fall ’25 we continued with chapters 8-16. The plan at this point is to pick up at Matthew 17 in Fall ’26. Stay tuned.
