2026 Women’s Retreat

We’re excited to announce our upcoming Women’s Retreat in April at our beloved Koinonia Conference Grounds. We’ll be gathering around our theme “Deeply Rooted in Christ.” We hope you can join us!

Dates:  April 17-19, 2026 (Friday @ 5:00 pm – Sunday @ 1:30 pm)

Location:  Koinonia Conference Grounds, 1605 Eureka Canyon Road, Watsonville, CA  95076

Speaker:  Ruth Schwertfeger

Cost:

  • Entire Retreat: $232 per person (includes lodging, all retreat sessions,  three meals on Saturday, and two meals on Sunday)
  • Saturday only: $110 per person (includes only Saturday’s meals, sessions, and events)

How to Register & Pay for the Retreat (see links below):

  1. Registration is NOW open! Use the “Registration” button below.
  2. Signups will also be in the lobby  through April 12 following the Family Bible Hour at Fairhaven.
  3. You can pay for the retreat with (1) a check or cash at the registration table, or (2) online payment (see link below).
  4. If you’re paying online, please be sure to indicate that the funds are for the retreat.
  5. If paying by check, please make it out to “Fairhaven Bible Chapel.”
  6. If you are not at Fairhaven, you can mail your payment to: Fairhaven Bible Chapel, 401 MacArthur Blvd., San Leandro, CA  94577.
  7. When you sign in at the retreat, please bring a check for the balance of your registration (if you still have a balance).
  8. You’ll want to register ASAP as space is limited.

More you want to know:

  1. No dinner is served on Friday, so you’ll want to eat before you arrive.
  2. Nursing mothers, you are welcome to bring your baby. While we won’t be providing childcare, there will be plenty of welcoming arms to hold your little one if you desire.
  3. Girls 12 years and older are welcome to accompany their mothers at full price. Please register each person in your family separately. 
  4. Cell service is available upon request.  
  5. Print out a packing list and directions to Koinonia, if necessary (see below)

About Ruth Schwertfeger:

Ruth teaches  women at her local church in  Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, where her husband is an elder. Now retired, her university research and publications focused on the Holocaust. Ruth and her husband have two adult children and five grandchildren —two in college and three in high school.
